Zain a cutting edge  telecommunications operator provides data services to over 41 million customers in Lebanon, Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, KSA and other countries . Zain was founded in the year 1983 in Kuwait, as the pioneer telecom operator covering the Gulf and is listed on the Kuwait Stock Exchange .Its strategic shareholding  of around 50 % is held by Kuwait Investment Authority and Omantel.

It claimed to be the trail blazer in offering 5G technology in the Gulf region .The size of its fiscal operations and geographical digital coverage can be gauged from the fact that the operator was offered $ 1.3 billion for its Sudan segment.

Earlier she was a UK and eurozone economist at Standard Chartered in London. Oman’s stock exchange also appointed Mathla Saleh Al Shaqsi , a senior associate of investments at the Oman Investment Authority to the Board , amid a push to boost gender diversity within the Gulf’s business community.
