Former President of the United States of America Jimmy Carter’s family has opted for hospice care rather then going for any medical intervention. Hospice care is a form of treatment for patients categorised by at least two physicians to have not more then six months to live. Such terminally ill patients are kept comfortable in hospice centers and their pain  managed. The focus of care is on treatment of the symptoms and not the disease itself. Hospice care provides compassionate care for an individual suffering from an incurable disease and in the last stage of survival.

Simple lifestyle

The Carter family still grows peanut and live in a small town with nearly 800 inhabitants.
