Cricket Gender Rivalry

Traditional cricket rivals face off  in the T20 World Cup match. India retains its position at World No. 4 and Pakistan’s ranking is at No.7. It’s the Green girls versus the Blue Girls.India and Pakistan have encountered each other in T20Is thirteen times with the Indians winning 10 times and the Pakistani team emerging victorious in three matches. The ICC trophy has however remained elusive for Indian women . In the Asia Cup of 2022 India had convincingly lost to their traditional rivals and this time the Women In Blue are out to exact revenge from the Women in Green. Cricket in the sub-continent has come a big way. The match may well turn out to be a nail biting and fist clenching event. The atmosphere will be charged as whenever these two cricket loving nations are engaged in a sports event it turns out to be a sports brawl.  India will be missing its star opener Smriti Mandhana and the fallback is Deepti Sharma, Shafali Verma and captain Harmanpreet .
